Ecommerce - Selling Your Products or Services Online
Launching
a new online business?
Our goal is to create a profitable online sales channel for your business, or a product catalog to display and advertise your products online. With your input, we’ll determine how your products should be presented and how users should interact with the website. We’ll listen to your requirements for critical factors like the number and type of categories and products, overall navigation and credit card payment types to ensure a smooth and productive user experience.
Shopping Cart Development
We'll design your ecommerce shopping cart with the same approach used for designing all Racing River websites. We'll listen to your input and suggestions to determine the overall look and feel of the site - colors, type of imagery (e.g. animated, abstract, iconic), and fonts. If your ecommerce site is to be part of your main website, we design it with the same look and feel and seamlessly integrate it into your main site.
Depending on the number of products you want to sell or display in your shopping cart or catalog, we will recommend a basic content management system (CMS) or a full-featured shopping cart. Either of these systems allows the shop owner to add, modify or remove products and change their descriptions, photos and prices. A basic CMS is practical for managing small groups of products (10-25), each with a single size, color etc.. More numerous products or products that require choosing size, color etc. are best managed using the more advanced shopping cart. Many additional features needed by businesses are available in the shopping cart, such as the ability to set sale prices, provide discount coupons, sell gift coupons, give quantity discounts, choose shipping method, keep a customer list and many others.
Both the basic and advanced systems can be configured to process credit cards using the familiar PayPal or Google checkout systems, or your current bank or other credit card processing system if they support online sales.
During the development phase we will add sufficient products so that you will be able to interact with the catalog, product and checkout pages. This will help to identify any presentation or navigation issues and evaluate how well the site appeals to site visitors – not just programmers.
